Lexus will explore new markets


The firm said that it intends to expand its sales network in the country in the coming years, aiming to establish itself as a “significant” player in the premium car market in Turkey.

The head of Lexus in Europe, Alain Uyttenhoven said that according to forecasts handled by the company the premium car sales in the country will go from 80,000 units in 2015 to more than 100,000 units “in the near future.”

“This puts Turkey in the ‘top 7′ of Europe. We are extremely happy to launch Lexus in this strategic emerging market” added the manager.

For his part, the president of Toyota Turkey Marketing and Sales, Ali Haydar Bozkurt, said that there has been a demand for Lexus in Turkey for some time, and that with the range renewal and the new 2.0-liter turbo engine; it’s an even more appropriate time to enter the market.
